OUR PROCESS FOR STARTING NEW CHURCHES

RAISE INTEREST

Begin by promoting the plan to start a new Elim Church in the community. This might look like delivering flyers, letters, or engaging in social action projects. You may find a person of peace who is for your vision and will introduce you to their network.

 GATHER

Begin to meet together regularly in order to discuss our launch plan and strategy to reaching the community. The plan being to reach the unchurched, the Gospel will need to be shared and responded to during this time too. Some times of prayer are required during this time too.

 ORGANISE

This is a process of getting a venue, testing your kit, and running through our attractive service. We can worship together during this time whilst also working out the kinks in our setup. We also look to connect with local authorities and other Churches & charities.

LAUNCH

We launch with several outreach events and a Sunday evening service. Once we have a setup team in place we can move to a Sunday morning service which may be streamed in via Youtube live until we have a Pastor in place. In the meantime the Church joins in live from homes.

ANSWERING THE BIG QUESTIONS

TRAINING

Pastor Darren has pioneered three Church communities in Lincoln, and is currently serving on the National Church Planting Team for the Elim Pentecostal Church. Darren regularly trains groups of Church Planters and Pioneers. Recently Darren has been equipping leaders with an internship and an externship program, which includes practical and academic training.

 FUNDING

Depending on our level of partnership we are keen to help with funding. We obviously would want to fully fund more Ignite Churches, but we are also keen to help Pioneers that may have different vision and values to us. Everything that we do is done in relationship though. Ignite Church Pioneers should expect us to fund equipment, promotional materials and Pastoral expenses.

 SUPPORT

We already support some other smaller Churches with mentoring, advise and sometimes financially. However, for those that partner with Ignite Church we offer our teams, equipment and preachers to help run events and bring some relief to your team if they are needing a break. Nothing is too much for our partners.

PARTNERSHIP

We want to pioneer an Ignite Church in every community, but we’re more bothered about the Gospel being preached in every community, so we see three options: Pioneer with us; Partner with us; Aline with us. Pioneering means you join our team and come under our leadership. Partnering with us means you’re held accountable to us but not led by us. Alliance means using our resources with little accountability.
